ProtecTeens is a video presentation and resource kit created to educate parents about the potential danger to their children from sexual predators on the Internet. There is evidence that thousands of Idaho children receive unwanted sexual material or solicitations over the Internet every year. Our law enforcement community has been extremely successful in tracking down, arresting and locking up many of these sexual predators.

Fremont County, working with the Idaho Department of Correction, has implemented a new program to allow crime victims access to timely information about criminal cases and the custody status of inmates 24 hours a day - over the telephone, through the Internet, or by e-mail. Crime victims and the general public can access information by calling a local toll-free number, or logging onto www.vinelink.com, any time of the day or night, or by clicking on the button below. The National Victim Notification Network™, VINE, communicates with jail and prison booking systems in near real-time.

Victims and other concerned citizens can call to inquire about the current status of an inmate and can register to be notified immediately upon a change in the inmate's status, such as release, escape or court appearance.

VINE Fact Sheet

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that they have established a Drug & Crime Hotline. We recognize that a designated telephone line can be a very important dimension to any community’s anti-drug effort, unfortunately we do not have the manpower to assign someone around the clock to handle the hotline; however, the hotline will ring directly into the Fremont County Sheriff “Investigations” Office during business hours. After hours, callers with information will be greeted by a recording. The hotline recording will be checked daily.

Anonymity is okay, however, if callers want an investigator to contact them they will need to leave their personal information. This hotline is not to give information about drug abuse or drug rehabilitation, but to help solicit the communities assistance in fighting drugs and crime in our area. We look forward to utilizing this hotline, and any information gained by the hotline will be followed up on by our deputies. The new Fremont County Sheriff Drug & Crime Hotline is 208-624-1538. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Lieutenant Thad Garner at the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office at our regular number 208-624-4482.
